Chapiter Lodge was consecrated on 6^th February 1925 and is named after that part of the capital of a pillar or column which is the decorated head that supports the entablature of the structure of a building above. In this case, the word 'Chapiter' is used specifically in relation to the pillars which stood at the porchway entrance to King Solomon's Temple. The name has specific Masonic meaning which is explained in the lecture in the Second or Fellow Craft Freemasons' degree. The Chapiter is central to our Lodge logo and banner.

The members of City University Lodge come from all walks of life including City, University of London and Cass Business School’s students, alumni, university staff and also those are interested in pursuing Freemasonry in London.

Clerestory Lodge is regarded, not just by its own membership, but the wider Masonic community as being a particularly friendly community. This is seen in two specific areas. For many years we have regularly welcomed Brethren from at least two other lodges: Elmley Castle Lodge Number 6247, from the Province of Worcestershire, the Three Graces Lodge 408, from Yorkshire and from Argonauts Lodge, No. 2243 in the Province of Berkshire.

Our Lodge (as the name suggests) is primarily for “Old Boys” of the Coopers Company School (now Coopers Company and Coborn School), but we have also admitted both Teachers and Governors, and even Parents of pupils as members.

The Mount Edgcumbe Lodge No 1446 was our ‘Mother Lodge’ and was formed way back in 1873 and was named after the 4^th Earl of Mount Edgcumbe.
The Lodge had a long and interesting history; Queen Victoria was in the 36^th year of her reign when our Mother Lodge was first formed. Two World Wars, a number of Prime Ministers, and much more, had been added to the country’s history to a particular point in 1954. The growing membership of the Lodge led to a group of its members deciding to form their own Lodge and to break away from The Mount Edgcumbe Lodge.

Faraday lodge 4798 is a daylight engineering lodge, meaning that we meet on Saturday mornings, four times a year at Freemasons’ Hall, London. Being a specialist interest engineering lodge allows those working in, or retired from, the engineering sectors the opportunity to meet together and socialise by day, and to still enjoy Saturday evenings with their families. We are a welcoming and friendly lodge, having members of all ages. After each lodge meeting, we head off to the bar, before dining together at a nearby venue, usually for a three-course meal. We enjoy our fun time together, and we enjoy our freemasonry!

The Friars' Lodge was consecrated on 19 April 1871 at a meeting held at the Cheshire Cheese Tavern in Crutched Friars in the City of London, from which it derives its name. The design of the website banner is intended to reflect our origins. The Lodge has remained a London Lodge and continues to thrive. Although the Cheshire Cheese Tavern still exists, we have not met there for many years and now meet at Freemasons' Hall in Covent Garden.

The Idea of founding the Lodge originated from W.Bro. F A Bishop, who had discussed the possibilities with W.Bro A G Lewis and W.Bro L Driver during their service together in Ghana. The main stated objective in the formation of the Lodge, shared by the founder members was the foundation of a permanent Lodge, especially for those Brethren who had been Initiated or had joined Lodges abroad whether with the Armed Forces or in a civilian capacity. With such a facility of Friendship from Service Lodge the Brethren could meet and have may aspects in common.

George Green Lodge will be a member of the United Grand Lodge of England Universities Scheme who are aimed at being welcoming Lodges for undergraduates and post-graduates studying at universities throughout England and Wales. George Green continues that educational connection with a rich history as a former East London Old School Lodge founded in 1911 and as a Hall Stone Jewel Lodge which symbolises that it is one of the Lodges that contributed to the building of the current Freemasons Hall in Great Queen Street which is where the Lodge will meet.

We are an Emulation Ritual workings lodge that meets four times a year in London at Mark Mason’s Hall, 86 St James’s Street, London SW1A 1PL.

The Gostling Murray Lodge No. 1871 was founded at Hounslow Barracks in 1880 by Officers of the 8th Middlesex Rifle Volunteer Corps, (later known as the Duke of Cambridge's Own Middlesex Regiment). It has for many years been 'open' to non-military persons and current membership is drawn from many different walks of life. The lodge retains a strong sense of its origins and history, in particular the memory of our brethren who served Crown and Country.

Horistic Lodge was consecrated on 27th July 1900 at Freemasons Hall in London, and although it originally held its regular meetings in North and then West London, since 1974 it has met at Freemasons Hall.

In Arduis Fidelis Lodge No 3432, is the Masonic lodge of the Royal Army Medical Corps. We are warranted and regulated by the United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE) and fall under the metropolitan province (London), governed by the Metropolitan Grand Lodge.
Due to being a Military lodge we are proud members of the Circuit of Service lodges and hold many military traditions dear to our hearts and this transposes to our ceremonies.

John Carpenter Lodge was formed for 'Old Citizens' – old boys of the City of London School. Although we still have very close links with both the school and its alumni network, being an Old Citizen is not a requirement for membership and our members are drawn from a variety of business and social backgrounds. We welcome new members with or without a connection to the school and from any background.

The Knightsbridge Reserve Forces lodge is open to all members of the Reserve and Regular Forces past & present from the, Army, Navy & Air Force. The Lodge also welcomes members from the ‘Blue Light Services’, Police, Ambulance, Fire Brigade, or Search and Rescue Services, past and present.An important feature of the Knightsbridge Reserve Forces Lodge is that it is not exclusive to the Regular or Reserve Forces, or Blue Light Services. As the Reserve forces come from civilian occupations and backgrounds, the lodge is happy to welcome new members who are not from the Military.

Lloyd’s Lodge is one of the three original Freemasons Lodges formed from Freemasons working in the Lloyd’s insurance market. We are mostly, although not exclusively, people who have a connection to insurance in London. Founded in 1937 by the members of Lutine Lodge (now merged with our daughter Lodge) Lloyd’s Lodge continues to operate and attract young men from the London Insurance Market and other City based Institutions.

Hello, and welcome to Loge L’Entente Cordiale no. 2796. We are an Emulation workings lodge that meets four times a year in London at Grand Lodge in Great Queen Street. All our meetings are conducted in French. L’Entente Cordiale No.2796 - was founded in 1899 and one of the originator was the Grand Master the Prince of Wales also known as the ‘Peacemaker’ who in 1904 as King Edward VII contributed to the Entente Cordiale between England and France.

London Rifle Brigade Lodge No.1962 was founded in 1882 and continues to uphold the traditions and camaraderie of our founding members well over 100 years later.

The Lodge is proud to have a long tradition of welcoming both Fathers and Sons through the ranks as far back as 1911 up to the present day.

The London School Board Lodge originated from the London School Board. In 1896, ten members of the Board, who were already Freemasons, founded our Lodge to ‘promote the association of past and present members of the London School Board’. The Lodge is now over 100 years old and retains many of the old traditions and whilst no longer dining in full evening dress we are one of the very few who meet in Dinner Jacket.

The Lodge has had many prominent members who achieved high status in civilian life as well as senior office in Freemasonry. Whilst too many to mention one member must be singled out, Alexander Fleming,the discoverer of penicillin . He had joined the London Scottish Regiment in 1900 and continued to serve in the ranks until the First World War when he was commissioned into the Royal Army Medical Corps.

Maida Vale Lodge operates under the auspices of Metropolitan Grand Lodge of London constituted in its current form in 2003, which itself is under the governance of the United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE) founded in 1717.

McMahon Lodge was founded as a primarily Military Lodge by General Sir Henry McMahon, Chief Commissioner for Baluchistan, in 1908 in Quetta, India, now Pakistan. The Consecration Ceremony on12^th March 1908 was attended by the eleven Petitioners and forty nine other brethren from nearby Lodges and further afield. Right Worshipful Brother H.E. General Viscount Kitchener, District Grand Master of the Punjab, conveyed his hearty good wishes and success to the Lodge.

Perfect Structure Lodge is a friendly London Lodge originally formed by members of the “Institution of Structural Engineers” but now welcomes membership from a wide range of different industries and backgrounds including IT and Telecommucations engineering and management, ex-armed forces and police to name but a few. We of course still have members who are Structural Engineers!

Polish National Lodge is an English Lodge with Polish origins and heritage.  We are a friendly group drawn from various walks of life.  You do not have to be Polish to join, indeed we have members from many different countries. We are though rightly proud of our Polish Heritage and history.

We are a small but rather special lodge of approximately 30 members. We meet at the West London Masonic Centre Ealing. There are four regular meetings per year, in February, April, June and November. We hold various masonic functions throughout the year including our annual Ladies weekend where non-masonic guests are invited.

A lodge founded by like-minded brethren in 1925 it has continued to extol the virtues of integrity, friendship, respect, service and charity. The lodge meets on a Saturday morning, 4 times a year, at Freemasons Hall, Gt Queen Street. A Saturday was opted for as the majority of its original members were clerical workers. As the lodge grew so did the variety of the members who now include mechanical/electrical trades and building maintenance surveyors. Recent members now include young professional’s which, as the lodge meets on a Saturday, will allow membership to fit into the busy life of this generation.

Like many Lodges Snaresbrook Lodge was born in the aftermath of the Great War, established by brethren wishing to preserve the camaraderie that had helped sustain them through the horrors of that conflict. Whilst many of those Lodges, established in the wake of WW1, had military and regimental connections Snaresbrook Lodge owes its origins to a group of men who served both their County and Country in the Special Constabulary in the Wanstead and Leytonstone area of during WW1.

Saint Thomas of Acon Lodge was consecrated in 1930 and is located at Mark Masons Hall, a stone’s throw from St James’s Palace in Central London. Its Membership is drawn from a diverse range of ages and professional backgrounds. It lays claim to having Members from the same family, so encourages generational continuation as well as personal referrals for joining Members. Above all, the Lodge’s Members enjoy great camaraderie and take part in its lively calendar of events. These include events for masons and non-masons alike, such as parties in London and trips abroad.

St. Erkenwald Lodge 2808 is an active London lodge operating under Metropolitan Grand Lodge. The lodge meets five times a year in Oct, Nov, Feb, March and April and has regular LOIs help over 9 months of the year. We have over 30 members and pride ourselves of a very good standard of ceremony (Emulation) delivered in a meaningful but relaxed manner. We regularly make donations to charity and have been recognised several times for our charitable achievements.
